FACULTY OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES, UNIVERSITY OF SZEGED

The conference will take place at the University of Szeged, one of Hungary’s leading research universities. Founded in 1581, the university currently hosts around 22,000 students, including approximately 4,000 international students. It comprises 12 faculties, 19 doctoral schools, and more than 100 PhD programmes.
The University of Szeged has a strong international reputation in education and research and has been associated with Nobel Laureates Albert Szent-Györgyi, who discovered vitamin C while working in Szeged, and Katalin Karikó, Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine in 2023 for her pioneering work on mRNA technologies.
The university is also recognised for its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. According to the GreenMetric ranking of world universities, it is among Europe's leading environmentally conscious universities.
The conference sessions will be hosted at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, providing modern lecture halls and facilities suitable for international academic events. The conference will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend either in person in Szeged or online via Zoom.

HOW TO REACH


The walk takes approximately 10–12 minutes from Széchenyi Square in the city center.
By Bicycle
Szeged is a flat and bicycle-friendly city.
Bicycle rental services are available at many locations.

From the city center, take Tram Line 2 to Aradi Vértanúk tere. Also, there is Tram Line 4 to Vitéz utca. Trolleybus Lines 5, 6, 9, 19 and 70 stop at Dugonics tér. A single ticket costs 470 HUF.

Bus Lines 8, 10, 32, 71 and 76 stop at Dugonics tér.

Several taxi services operate in Szeged, including Taxi Plusz, Tempó Taxi, Rádió Taxi Három and Bolt Taxi.

Parking is available in designated areas throughout the city. Payment options vary depending on the parking zone.
